Skinny Cargos
I love the Gap's new skinny cargos. I'm dying to pick them up in green and grey. The price point is amazing too, at 59.50 how can you go wrong? Compared to J brand's skinny cargos that retail for well over 200, these cargos are a steal! Pair them with a baggy silk shirt and heels for going out with the girls and a sexy see through black shirt and bra for date night.

BIRDS!
Birds are going to be all the rage this fall, from whimsical prints to blinged out owl necklaces to feathers adorned dresses and head pieces. Personally I thought birds and feathers hit a peak a few years ago when the first SATC movie was released but apparently the look has now become high fashion and ready to wear. Wear the trend subtly and don't over do it, with only one bird inspired piece per outfit.

My Shopping List
This week I went a little crazy and used my plastic a bit more than I should have. Nonetheless, I love the clothes I bought and would do it all again. Here's a low down of what I bought.
I LOVE the jean leggings Gap has right now. They're so soft and stretchy, I just know I'll be in them all winter. The black are extra sleek and very black.
I love the hem on this shirt, the shirttail style is so flattering and comfy. The button detail on the sleeves is great too, as is the exposed zipper at the back on the shirt. Gap really sells the best t-shirts around.
Gap's Forever Skinny jeans are really flattering and really skinny and this lighter wash is a great way to break all the dark pieces you'll be wearing this fall. I'm going to pair mine with white t-shirts and burnt orange and deep purples scarves.
This stripped TNA raglan is so nautical and fun to wear with shorts or skinnies, you can dress it up or down!
This studded Talula skirt from Aritzia is the perfect mix of sexy and sleek. I wore it the other night with the white t-shirt from Gap listed above.

Fall Fashion
I'm starting to crave wearing leggings, boots and parkas, 'tis surely a sign of the changing seasons. I bought my first boots for the upcoming fall last week, brown suede ankle boots with side bows and a chunky heel. I'm debating how exactly I'll wear them though... I was thinking of easing myself into the fall wearing them with a white dress and a brown belt. My next purchases will be the new black jean leggings at the Gap which are so soft and lots of over sized white and grey tunic t-shirts to wear with the jeggings and boots. I think I want to try wearing over sized knit scarves this fall with skinny jeans in muted purples and burnt oranges and I want to knit them myself! I'm getting ahead of myself though as I need my mother to teach me how to knit since I forgot all of five minutes after she taught me last time.

Sufjan is coming! Massey Hall, October 13th. I've been waiting a long time for this. If I don't get tickets the world will come to an end. This isn't really a fashion post but I just wanted to shout this from a roof top but I don't have one... just a fashion blog.

Mad for Mad Men
I'm crazy for all things Mad Men. Even designers are getting in the craze, copying the classic style of Don Draper and the ladies of Sterling Cooper. I think I'm officially obsessed with Jon Hamm, especially after seeing those candids of him on Perez this week. He has such a timeless style and looks his best in a suit. New Gossip Girl Styles
Anyone seen the stills from the upcoming season of Gossip Girl? Blair and Serena look so edgy and fashion forward, but still keep a beautiful feminine edge.
I like the boho-edge Serena is sporting in this scene. Blair looks so Park Ave and business women-like, I wish she would sport a younger style in the show, something less structured.
I'm dying to know what this outrageous look is used for! She looks so costumey but the look is still so Serena.
I love these rainboots! Such a nice change from the traditional hunters, and especially stylish with those knee socks exposed.
How adorable is this look? I love neutral bags paired with florals! The clear umbrella is so chic too, I saw so many when I lived in England.
Don't worry, I didn't forget about the boys style either; they look delish this season in dress casual looks and basics. I'm dying to know what Chuck Bass will be up to this season but from the looks of it, he'll still be looking divine. Sadly no sneak peaks of Lonely Boy yet this season, just lots of candids of he and real life girlfriend Blake Lively kissing in NYC.
